Dune bashing is one of the most popular extreme adventure tours with several vehicle options of 4X4 Safari Jeeps, Sand Boards, Quad Bikes and Dune Buggies. SUVs with specialist drivers are available that will take you on these thrilling sand dunes ride while enjoying the gorgeous sunset from a vantage point. The new addition to the list of vehicles is Hummer H3, which might cost a bit more but is a worthwhile experience.
After the dune bashing, it is time to relax and enjoy. So, as the sun sets, you are taken to a central camp where entertainment awaits you. Most of the tour operators also offer you a camel riding experience; although it is advisable to check this beforehand.
For an additional price, you can also experience sandboarding or quad biking for extra thrills. The entrance of the camp welcomes you with complimentary Arabic coffee, tea and dates. You can enjoy the rest of your time doing sheesha, applying henna tattoos from experienced women or even taking pictures in traditional dresses. While you eat your typical Arabian-cuisine-dinner under the stars, enjoy the Belly dance and the Tanoura dance as well
Belly Dancing & Tanoura Performance
The belly dance is usually performed by a professional dancer and is perhaps the most awaited performance. The Tanoura dance is an awe-inspiring dance, which is usually done by a male professional and constitutes of the entire dance done while the dancer spins around the same place.
In the final part of this dance, the lights of the camp are turned off as the Tanoura dancer’s attire lights up with LEDs and is a fantastic sight. These two traditional dances are often the highlights of the latter part of the safari. This unique and equally enthralling experience ends with you being dropped to your suggested drop-up point.
