Nestled in the region popularly known as ‘New Dubai’, Dubai Marina is a conceptualized man-made canal city. For a quicker commute within the Marina, there is the Dubai Tram which can get you to both ends of the complex for AED 3 – AED 5 varying on the distance. 

Want to explore the Dubai Marina a bit differently? Take the Water Bus which takes you around the Canal. One can either opt to reach another destination in the Marina by paying AED 3 – AED 11 per ticket on this or just take a sightseeing tour on the water bus with a day pass for just AED 25.

1. Visit The Walk at JBR: The Walk is nearly a mile-long experience of shopping and binging while you catch some sunshine. With plazas and arcaded doorways on both sides, you will experience another side of Dubai which is known mostly for air-conditioned glass boxes.

2. Take a Dinner Cruise: The view of the sprawling skyscrapers of the Dubai Marina at night are a breathtaking sight and can be viewed best when taking the Sunset or Dinner Cruise.

3. Take a Speedboat Tour of the Marina: Another exciting water-based activity, a speedboat tour is fun for the whole family and lets you see the entire Marina in just 1.5 hours. Apart from exploring the Marina, the route takes you to Marina Canal, The Palm including the famous Atlantis hotel, Burj Al Arab, Palm Lagoon.

4. Evening Stroll at the Marina Walkway: A simple activity, the Marina walkway is always a sight whether its at night or during the day. It provides beautiful views of the Marina Complex and also provides ample photo opportunities thanks to extremely aesthetic paths.

A dedicated beach for Dubai Marina, the Dubai Marina Beach stretches along a 3km long coastline. Entry to the beach is only through the Dubai Marina. The beach is a tourist favourite for the fact that it is less crowded when compared to the other major beaches in Dubai and also with the many restaurants here.

1. East Marina: This structure is beautiful and is built in traditional European-style architecture. The yacht capacity here is 208. The marina promenade has many cafes and restaurants as well.

2. West Bay Marina: Considered to be the best of the marinas here, this vast structure is just walking distance from the Marina clubhouse. It can take up to 100 yachts and has buggy services to take visitors to the clubhouse and back.  

3. Club House Marina: With a yacht capacity of 134, this marina is only accessible to cardholders and club members. 

4. The Mall Marina: This is connected directly to the Marina Mall and can fit only 74 yachts. The benefit here is the access to the various shops and restaurants at the mall. 

Sailing at the DMYC
One would require a sailing permit to drive a Yacht if not already having one. To attain a permit, you will have to apply in advance through their official website.
